The Bay of Fundy holds the record for the highest tides in the world, but the shoreline cliffs and beaches are also home to the world’s most complete fossil record of life from 300 million years ago, making it part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
To learn more about the UNESCO Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve as well as information on the Bay of Fundy, including tide times, some amazing Fundy facts, an explanation of the tides and links on how to experience the Bay of Fundy, we invite you to explore our About the Digby Area page.

Since 2006, the Digby Area Tourism Association (DATA) has been working to bring local business and government together to promote and develop the area as a tourism destination. Projects we have worked on include improvements to our community such as interpretive signage and information kiosks as well as washroom facilities, picnic benches and highway signage. Our mission is to facilitate authentic and memorable experiences for visitors to the Digby Area.
If you are a local Digby Area business or are visiting and would like to learn more about the association and our members, we invite you to join us.
