Since we are talking about the Bay of Fundy, we have to talk about world famous Digby Scallops.
We are the Scallop Capital of The World for many reasons. Scallops were first commercially harvested in Digby in the 1920`s. We are known for having the largest scallop fleet, one that is prominently displayed when you visit our waterfront.
But perhaps the biggest reason we get to call ourselves thee place to experience scallops is because of the Bay of Fundy itself.
Our waters are prime for scallops. The high tides, cold ocean temperatures, and nutrient dense waters of the Bay of Fundy create the perfect environment for our large, juicy, and tasty scallops.
Not to mention, it`s kind of our thing now. So we tend to do it very well!

We were pleased to attend the launch of the new partnership between NSCC`s Business – Hospitality Program and the Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa yesterday.
The new program will give students the opportunity to learn and hone their skills through the day to day operations of the Digby Pines.
We were also treated to a preview of some of the new menu items at Digby Pines restaurant, Churchill`s Restaurant & Lounge.
Thank you to the Digby Pines for the invite, and to all the wonderful speakers from NSCC, Bear River First Nation, and the Digby Pines for sharing their stories and visions for this new partnership.
