Whale Watching is back for 2025!

##
Mid June means whale watching is back for another exciting season!
Not all of the whale watching companies are open yet, but those that are, are seeing lots of action!
Below are just some of the photos taken by Brier Island Whale and Seabird Cruises this past week.

People often ask when the best time to see whales are, and that’s a hard question to answer. Most tours go from now until the end of September. They operate these months because that’s when the whales are most active here.

Some say August is the best, yet last year at the beginning of July we had two Blue Whale sightings.

Your best bet is to stay in the area (Long & Brier Island) for a few days, and go out as much as you can. No two trips are the same, and you are almost always guaranteed to see some action.
Plus, there are plenty of spots around the islands that have some of Nova Scotia’s best coastal views. You could easily spend a week out here.
