Nova Scotia On American Television!

Their travel expert mentioned Nova Scotia as one of the best places to visit in the entire world this year. Aimed at an American audience, she pointed out how far their dollar would go here. How we were a closer destination to someone looking for a European vibe and that we had many wonderful summer festivals.

While the mention was for all of Nova Scotia, we’d like to point out a few special things happening here in the Digby region.

This year will be the 50th Anniversary of Digby Scallops Days! A giant celebration of scallops in the Scallop Capital of The World.

This year marks an important milestone for our famous painter Maud Lewis, which we are planning to celebrate in a big way!

Speaking of that European vibe, Bear River is known as the Switzerland of Canada because of its steep hills and winding river.

And there’s a few more things that we will be doing this year, but we can’t quite talk about it yet.

Also, with many Americans coming up from the CAT Ferry and Fundy Rose, making the Digby area part of your Nova Scotia stay makes perfect sense!
