Digby Area Tourism Announce 3-5 year Extensive Tourism Development Plan

Recently it was announced that Digby Area Tourism (DATA) was awarded a $95,000 non repayable contribution from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA). The announcement was made during a recent trip through Southwest Nova Scotia by the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.

Today DATA is excited to announce that they have retained the services of PEI based iImagine to help us establish a comprehensive 3-5 year tourism plan that will see us grow tourism in the Digby area and create more opportunities to attract people to our region.

Harvey Sawler of iImagine and his team will be leading the initiative that will take place over the next year, working alongside a committee made up of members of our community and the local tourism industry here in the Digby area.

Once the 3-5 year plan has been established, Digby Area Tourism will implement the recommendations and work alongside the established working committee, its membership, and funding partners to ensure the plans success.
