Big Wins for Digby at TIANS!

##
Earlier this month, Digby Area Tourism attended the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia’s conference in Halifax.

At the awards banquet, seven awards were given out to individuals across Nova Scotia for their great work in tourism; two of them went to individuals in our area.

Jess and Amy Tudor won the Tourism Champion Award, which recognizes individuals or organizations who have excelled in their efforts to advocate, promote and uphold the best interests of the NS Tourism Industry.

Amy and Jess are both proud residents of Brier Island Nova Scotia, perhaps best known by visitors for their connections to Brier Island Lodge Brier Island Seasalt Company Mariner Cruises Whale and Seabird Tours

Stephen Thibault, of the Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa, also won an award: a Pineapple Award, which recognizes exceptional customer service in the tourism industry.

Before his retirement earlier this year, Stephen worked a remarkable forty-six years at the Digby Pines, with a focus on maintaining the Digby Pines Championship Golf Course. Stephen unfortunately could not make the awards, due to the storm we got Tuesday night.
